Rouse Builders, specializes in custom residential home construction and was established in 1989. President and owner, Bob Rouse, began his career in the home building industry long before he started his construction firm. “I’ve worked in and around construction all of my life and I have always been a hardworking, hands-on kind of guy that enjoys working with people. It became pretty apparent to me at an early age that I wanted to be in construction, specifically construction management. One of the greatest rewards is a satisfied customer that is thrilled with the results of their completed construction project.” The combination of Bob’s engineering background, practical construction knowledge, and love for working with people is the foundation for Rouse Builder’s success.

Bob has served the industry as an involved member of the NAHB (National Association of Home Builders), the NCHBA (North Carolina Home Builders Association), and the HBAGC (Home Builders Association of Gaston County). He has achieved merits such as Local Builder of the Year, served several terms as President of the HBAGC and currently serves on the board of the local Home Builder’s Association. Bob’s goal is to stay current in our ever changing building industry through continuing education in order to provide clients quality, high performing homes that provide cutting edge features in the areas of technology, energy, building materials, and green building.

Bob is a Gastonia native and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in Civil Engineering. He is married with two boys and is very involved in both civic and church activities. Bob has served for many years on the board for Gaston Habitat for Humanity and as a leader in a local Boy Scout troop. He has also served as both deacon and elder at First ARP Church Gastonia.  Bob also provides guidance as a builder liaison to Gaston County Schools Career and Technical Education Department offering support, guidance, and training opportunities to students and teachers.
